How to deal with the deformation of products processed by beryllium bronze

A spring made of beryllium bronze can be compressed hundreds of millions of times. Copper is much softer than steel, and less resilient and less capable of resisting the fall. After adding some beryllium to copper, the hardness is enhanced, the elasticity is excellent, the loss resistance is very high, and it also has high electrical conductivity.

The volume change of the part is uniform, and its density is uniformly advanced, so it has no effect on the overall shape of the part. This uniform change can be considered in the planning of dimensional design without major results. On the other hand, assuming that the volume change is not uniform, deformation effects will occur. Several factors can cause uneven age hardening of beryllium copper parts. Temperature non-uniformity is a source of deformation that can occur when aging large or long parts. However, small parts formed by stamping or machining, even when the aging temperature is uniform, can change results.
